Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, on the 22nd of November, 1984 in New York City New York. She is an American singer/actress whose range has earned her recognition in a variety of genres - from thrillers and adventures to period films. Johansson grew up living in New York City as the daughter an architect and an executive from a production firm. The twin brothers Hunter and her were her youngest siblings. When she was a kid, she began performing. Actually, at 7 years old She had auditioned for commercials in a variety of different ways. After that, she was enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and afterwards went to the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further hone her craft. She made her debut as an actress on film in North (1994) aged nine. She was just eight when she starred alongside Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson was later seen on the screen in Just Cause (1995), however, her breakthrough occurred through Manny & Lo a coming of age drama about sisters fleeing. The film received the attention of critics for her character as a teenager who has been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and she gained further attention as cynical teen who is a solitary Rebecca In Ghost World (2001). She made a commercial for Dannon. Similar to many actors starting out, she chose to refine her art in the realm of theatre. She would work in different USA productions, while also making her debut on stage with Wildflower. Her education was in The Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
